THE HUNT
The #1 Pope & Young grizzly was taken here. Several.... Boon &
Crockett record grizzlies have been taken within a one hundred mile radius of, and
including our hunting area.
Our area is a proven big bear area. This is a product of an exceptional grizzly population
and the harvesting of only large mature animals. Our hunting area lies only fifty miles
from the ocean and every spring, coastal grizzlies migrate over the coast range and into
our area. This combination of resident and coastal bears enhances the opportunity for
exceptionally large trophy animals. Another plus for our area is the fact that we border
Tweedsmuir Provincial Park to the west, which is a vast wilderness park and grizzly
sanctuary. Undoubtedly this sanctuary provides a constant overflow of grizzlies into the
Fawnie Mountain area. We believe this to be one of the finest trophy grizzly hunting areas
in existence today.
The timber is dense and most shooting is at one hundred yards or less. As a result of this
heavily timbered habitat, bow hunters are afforded the unique opportunity of hunting
grizzlies from tree stands. Spring sucker spawning runs attract the bears to predictable
feeding areas on small rivers and creeks where rifle or bow hunters may set up for very
close shots. Bow hunters would expect shots of twenty yards or less from elevated stands.
Success rate is generally measured by the percentage of kill among hunters. A big grizzly
can generate a lot of excitement which may play a critical roll in the hunter's
performance and ultimately in his success. While there are no guarantees in true hunting,
we are proud of nearly one hundred percent success in terms of opportunities provided. 95%
of our grizzly hunters take a black bear.

Rates are per person, including round trip from Anahim Lake, B.C., and are
effective for the 1998 Season.
10 DAY GRIZZLY HUNTS
(May 10-20; May 21-31)
Rifle and Archery Hunts -1 guide, 1 hunter $9000 plus $5000 kill fee
License $430
No kill fee for black bear killed on this hunt.
We have taken the #1 World Record Pope & Young Grizzly and in 1993, our hunter took
the #5 Pope and Young Grizzly.
All prices subject to 3.5% tax, and each hunter will be charged $70 for Non-Resident
Hunting Preservation Fund.
ALL PRICES IN U.S. FUNDS:
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm booking, payable in check or cash. Balance
of payment is due 60 days prior to hunt. Balance is payable in cash, check or travelers
check. We will refund deposits and balance payments when we are able to fill the vacancy
with another hunter.

BALANCE PAYMENT
Final payment is due 60 days prior to hunt.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits are refundable if you or we are able to fill the vacancy with another
