Dear Mr. Perkins:
I have been flyfishing for some 20 years now and have purchased many Orvis products over
the years. (My wife jokingly remarks that our basement looks like a flyfishing shop.) I
must say that I have always been extremely pleased with your products. I started my 7 year
old son flyfishing at age 4 and my 4 yr old daughter has started casting in the back yard.
My brother and I began taking annual flyfishing trips several years ago. Due to my trust
in Orvis, we have relied on Orvis endorsements in selecting lodges. This summer we
traveled to British Columbia and again selected an Orvis endorsed lodge, namely Moose Lake
Lodge at Anahim Lake. I have fished extensively in the West, Northeast, and Alaska
and this was without a doubt my overall favorite flyfishing experience.
We spent five days with the Blackwells at their lodge. Their hospitality and service was
second to none. The fishing was incredible and everyone at the lodge, from the pilots and
guides to the kitchen staff, was friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed many of
the Blackwell's stories at the dinner table. We caught and released (barbless hooks of
course) many beautiful rainbow and cutthroat trout. We spent our days dry fly fishing on
streams and rivers, and our evenings out on the lake with the eagles and osprey. Truly an
incredible experience.
I appreciate your continued commitment to provide quality products and ability to endorse
the best lodges in the world. Please keep up the good work so my son and daughter, and
others of the generations to come, can enjoy this sport and can respect and appreciate the
beauty of the magnificent environments in which we enjoy it.
