Come join us for the Alaskan fishing experience of a lifetime.

Our crew has a combined 30 years of fishing the waters of Cook Inlet for those Halibut and Salmon of your dreams, which swim along the Ninilchik coastline.

Our captain's are USCG licensed and insured. You will fish aboard a 28-foot Sea Star, named DISCOVER. The DISCOVER is a safe, comfortable, USCG inspected vessel, with a marine head, heater, and enclosed cabin.

Some of the world's best halibut and salt water salmon fishing are within minutes of launching," says our skipper. "Our clients at Flying Bear Charters are usually surprised at how easy it is to hook a big one."

You will be out for 6 to 7 hours, depending upon tide cycles. We recommend you bring warm clothing, rain gear and a desire to have lots of fun. All tackle, rods, and bait are provided, along with free fish filleting.

Besides our excellent fishing charter service, we also offer cabins. Cabins are furnished with private bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, coffee/coffee pot and alarm clock radio & all linens. Ninilchik river is just a short walk from the cabin for Salmon bank fishing, hipboots are recommended and you must bring own fishing rod for that.

Ninilchik is located in the heart of Kenai Peninsula, wildlife all around & Eagles abound on the beach. Our season starts 1st of May and goes to middle of September. We do offer special rates to those who book with us for May trips. Please contact us for details on this special offer. Other regulations and season dates can be obtained through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
