Hubbard Creek area is a scenic mountain
wonderland and our summers are full of fun and excitment. We offer scenic horseback rides, fishing in streams, nearby beaver ponds and lakes, and we have cowboy cookouts, scenic drives and photo tours. For the more adventurous we have 2, 3, 4 day pack trips with a minimum of riding and lots of hiking, fishing or just plain relaxing.
All of us at Hubbard Creek Outfitters will work hard to provide you with an organized and memorable vacation or hunt.
We furnish top guides, excellent cooks, horses, vehicles and all camping gear and equipment. Our horses are strong and well broken.
Our cabins are located in the Gunnison National Forest and on our private ranch. Our tents are in good condition and very comfortable. All our cabins are lived in and in excellent repair, so that your stay will be as comfortable as possible. In the interest of a safe, fun and sucessful trip, we do limit the number of guests. So we urge you to plan your vacation well in advance.
Just 75 miles from Grand Junction, Hubbard Park lies at the west end of the Gunnison National Forest at 9000 feet in elevation.
Come and enjoy the excitement of a western Colorado adventure. The whole family will enjoy Colorado's fresh mountain air. Camp out under the stars and listen to the silence of the wilderness. We can outfit a summer trip just for you or for the whole family.
When you step outside the cabin door you will view the spectacular beauty of the West Elk Wilderness Mountain Range. Then in only a few minutes by horseback, you can experience Colorado's breathtaking beauty from atop one of the many nearby peaks.
Hubbard Park and the surrounding forest is abundant with deer, elk, game birds, as well as many fishing ponds and streams, home to some nice Brookies, Cutthroat, and Rainbows. Along with the many fishing holes, our area is a photographers dream. A short horseback ride to the top of a neighboring mountain unveils the breathtaking panoramic view ranging from the San Juan Mountains in the south, all the way north to Snowmass and Aspen. Be sure to bring your camera so that you can relive your adventure year after year.
Late spring and early summer at Hubbard Creek are great times for trail riding, fishing, and hiking in the mountains. Trail rides through wildflower meadows form our base camp lead to wilderness areas beyond compare. We know it's hard to describe adequately - the beauty of the area and the love we have for it. We think that if you come to our little "heaven on earth", that you too will see what we mean.
