TROPHY ARCHERY The Sunset Guest Ranch is located in the center of the bow area. It is a private ranch that consists of 1600 acres with eight miles of the big Blackfoot River running through it. The fishing and hunting areas consists of prime woodland, open fields, swamps, alfalfa and grain fields. |
EACH HUNTER IS ALLOWED
TWO BUCKS PER SEASON
| The hunter begins the day
before sunrise with a substantial breakfast. The hunter is then conducted to a tree
stand for the morning hunt. To be within bow shot (15-25 yards) of a large buck is
an incredible experience. Mike will put you there, alone, in silence, to await his
arrival. On each hunt every year you have an excellent chance to get a trophy buck. Sometime during mid-morning you return to the house for coffee to plan the midday drives, and night stands. Deer drives are usually conducted after lunch leaving the hunters enough time to get to their evening stand. We believe that given the excellent food source, low hunting pressure, and general health of this herd, that the next Montana state record will be taken from this area. Several Pope and Young bucks are taken in the area every year. The Sunset Guest Ranch is an owner operated hunting venture with full service. The log "bunkhouse", accommodating up to five hunters, is a cabin that features five beds and a bathroom. There are shared facilities in the bunkhouse with additional bathing facilities in the main house. Hearty meals prepared fresh daily and served in the main house. All you need to do is bring your personal gear, bow, your license and lots of arrows. Everything else is provided. |

- Dormitory style lodging.

- Trophy field dressing and caping for your game.
- Game quartered, frozen and packaged, or taken to a local butcher.
- You furnish your license - Combo elk/deer tag must be purchased by March 15th
- Area buck deer tag must be purchased by June 1st

RIFLE HUNTS Guided elk & mule deer hunts late October -November. Seven day camps in Helena National Forest. Area is brow tine bulls only & 4 point mule deer providing good trophy hunting. Two hour horse ride to camp. Horses are used to access hunting areas. Hunting is done on foot. DUCK AND GOOSE HUNTS Join us for some of the best duck and goose hunting you will ever experience. |

Mountain Rifle Hunting Camps

This hunt combines Mule Deer and Whitetail rut plus great Elk hunting.
The hunt is fully guided for big racked elk and deer.
All hunts have horses available at no extra charge.
Mountain Lion Hunts
5 days of hunting with experienced hounds. Rifle,
bow, handgun, or muzzle loader may be used to hunt lions.
$2500.00 plus $320.00 for the license.
Season runs Dec. 1st through Jan. 15th.
Quotas are usually filled by Jan. 15th.
Substantial number of cats with a success rate
