Welcome to the Bar Y7 Ranch!
Thank you for your interest in vacationing with us! We offer great family and individual vacations, and lots of other activities that will give you a great vacation!

We are located in the Missouri River Breaks, where you see rugged country and pine trees, 35 miles west of Jordan, Montana, 190 miles North East of Billings, Montana, and 18 miles from Fort Peck Lake, where the deer and antelope truly roam!

On our 10,000 acre ranch, you will see cows-horses-chickens-sheep-and two milk cows. We also farm 1800 acres of wheat, barley, and oats, and put up hay to feed the livestock.

During your stay, you will be able to ride horses, go on a covered wagon ride for a day or longer (bring your sleeping bag-we may camp out all night!), hike, go fossil viewing, fishing, and site-seeing (BRING YOUR CAMERA!! You may see wild turkeys, deer, antelope, and elk that live nearby.).

We do not have scheduled cattle drives. We do, however, work cows often. We ride regularly to move bulls, check fence line, see if the cows are in our pasture, and put out any strays. You are welcome to ride with us when we work the cows. You may even bring your own horse if you wish. (Remember: you are responsible for the care and safety of your own horse-we will furnish the feed.)

We have rustic cabins with seperate shower rooms, plus one modern log cabin. We furnish a guide, lodging, and three meals per day (family style, in our home).

Spring-Summer Fishing Trips
We can supply food and complete camping equipment. Or, if you would like to stay at our ranch, we can supply complete lodging and meals.
Scenic - Photograph Trips
Information will be sent upon request. This fee will be determined according to time, number of persons in party, riding and pack horses required.
Fossil - Rock Hounding
We have fossil and rock hounding grounds that are nationally famous. This area was a tropical paradise over 70 million years ago. Additional information will be sent upon request, this includes recent triceratops findings.
